The Almondy brand of traditional Swedish cake has recently introduced a new range of Snickers® flavour tortes.  Almondy, based in Gothenburg, chose the Kliklok SFR end load cartoner to pack these frozen products at a fairly gentle speed of 35 tortes per minute.

The Kliklok SFR is of stainless steel construction, has easy size change facility, with digital displays and quick release feed arms, and can handle cartons up to a depth of 335mm. As part of the Kliklok family of end load cartoners, the SFR features their patented rotary carton feeder, heavy-duty carton chains and powered carton feed hopper, plus Nordson hot glue jetting system. 

The machine’s modular design concept allows for a variety of infeed options – from hand load to automatic ‘smart-belt’ infeed, which automatically times products arriving in a random queue. Almondy chose this integrated automatic infeed which provides labour-saving benefits without having to increase factory space.
